Summer schools
York St John University runs residential summer schools for Year 10 and Year 12 pupils. All their residentials are completely free to attend and accommodation, food and transport are provided. They believe that education should be accessible to all and priority places for their residentials are given to pupils from groups traditionally underrepresented in higher education.
Scholarships, funding and opportunities
Encompass
Encompass is an exciting initiative for current year 12 students from Black, Asian or minority ethnic backgrounds. It provides an opportunity to discover what it's like to study Geography at university.Ìý
As an Encompass participant, you will experience university-level study through a campus visit, lectures and a field trip.ÌýYou'll deconstruct dominant narratives, explore our York campus and find out more about Geography as a subject option. You'll explore Geography beyond the classroom through a focus on a theme.
