Ambassadors programme
Alumni Ambassadors
The University of Hertfordshire runs an Alumni Ambassador programme, who can share their experiences of studying at the University of Hertfordshire and discuss how they have mapped out their career.Â
Widening Access and Student Success (WASS) ambassadors
The role of these ambassadors is to inform and advise participants about higher education.
Events and lectures
The University of Hertfordshire can deliver - in person or online- a variety of talks for students and parents on going to university.
Visits to and from schools
The University of Hertforshire offers visits to their (close to Hertford) in the summer (ideally June), and taster day activities. Options include water sampling, quadrat/woodland survey and meteorology activities. They can also offer some computer-based GIS/remote sensing activities.
The University of Hertfordshire can run GIS/remote sensing activities in schools if you have access to a computer room. Â These can focus on land cover and land use change, glacial retreat or mapping wildfires.
