Talks and exhibition communicating outcomes from the UKRI (NERC/ESRC) to practitioners and policymakers.

Following the Dasgupta Review (2021 – ‘The Economics of Biodiversity’), this event brings the results of a £6.4 million, UKRI-funded research programme to those involved in valuing and financing biodiversity. It comprises three sessions of talks/panel discussions and an exhibition.

The talk sessions are organised around three themes:

1. Natural Capital
2. Valuation of Biodiversity
3. Green Finance and Decision Making

The exhibition combines poster and video content, aimed at bringing the results to life for policymakers and practitioners. The event will also be relevant to the UK’s hosting in February 2026 of the IPBES Plenary, with its focus on the IPBES Business and Biodiversity Assessment.

• Tuesday 16 September: 2.00pm-4.30pm, Exhibition 4.30pm-6.00pm.
• Wednesday 17 September: 9.00pm-3.30pm.
