Through the lens of art, fashion, and academia, the forum will weave together stories of innovation, ethics, and aesthetics, asking: how can textiles help re-stitch our fractured relationship with the planet?

A forum in celebration of the World Design Congress at the Barbican Centre, the upcoming London Design Festival , and the project Great Ape by Artist Lisa Roet, installation on the Society's building from 3 September.. This will be an inspiring evening exploring how textiles can help shape regenerative futures. Bringing together leading voices in art, design, and sustainability, the event examines fabric as both material and metaphor for environmental stewardship, cultural identity, and innovation.

From monumental, hand-stitched public artworks to cutting-edge academic research and industry leadership, our speakers share how textiles can reconnect us to the planet and each other.
