Meetings

The Society has four private meeting rooms available for hire, perfect for your next meeting, presentation or workshop.

Event spaces

Our venue has four meeting rooms to choose from, each offering their own style and setup options.

  • The first floor Council Room is steeped in history with a grand central boardroom table ideal for meetings and get togethers. The room can accommodate up to 18 in a boardroom style.
  • An original room of Lowther Lodge, the first floor Lowther Room is charmingly decorated with floor to ceiling bookcases. The room can accommodate up to 18 in a boardroom style or up to 35 in a lecture theatre style.
  • The ground floor Drayson Room is a modern and spacious meeting room, accommodating up to 18 in a boardroom style or up to 35 in a lecture theatre style.
  • A light and contemporary room, the ground floor Sunley Room can accommodate up to 18 in a boardroom style or up to 30 in a lecture theatre style.

We offer both full day and half day hire slots from Monday to Friday.

Audio and visual

All meeting rooms come equipped with our standard AV setup of plasma screen, laptop, speakers and remote control for presentations.

Catering

Catering for your event can be organised with the Society's exclusive partners Lodge Catering. With decades of experience and knowledge, the team provide a complete service from enquiry through to your event day. 

Accessibility

The Drayson and Sunley Rooms are both located on the ground floor. The Lowther Room is located on the first floor but can be accessed by a small lift. We regret that the Council Room is not currently wheelchair accessible.
